About the Project
Sajahan is a 75-year-old construction worker from Sherpur, Bogura. At an age when most people need rest and care, he still works hard to earn a living and support himself and his wife.
Sajahan has no children to look after him and his wife. He also does not own any land or house. The couple lives in a small house built on someone else's land, where they struggle to manage their daily needs.
Because of his old age, most people are unwilling to hire him for construction work. Fortunately, the head mason he works with is a kind-hearted person who understands his situation and regularly gives him work. This allows Sajahan to earn a little money to support his family, even though physical work has become difficult at his age.
After learning about his situation, TNBD Foundation decided to provide some support to make his life a little easier.
On 18 September 2026, we arranged lunch for Sajahan and provided essential groceries worth over BDT 3,200 to help cover his family's food needs for approximately one month. The grocery package included rice, cooking oil, lentils, and other daily essentials. We also gave him BDT 200 in cash to help with his personal expenses.
This project was fully funded by TNBD Ventures as part of our commitment to helping vulnerable people and families in need.
We understand that this small contribution cannot solve all the challenges Sajahan and his wife face. However, we hope it provides some relief from their daily struggles and brings a little comfort to their lives.
At TNBD Foundation, we believe everyone deserves care, respect, and support, especially elderly people who continue to struggle to meet their basic needs. Through small initiatives like this, we hope to make a positive difference in people's lives and encourage others to help those in need.
